Blended learning for apprentices in technical trades

Our training centre prepares electrical apprentices for national certification. Classroom days are expensive for employers because apprentices leave the job site. We are redesigning the programme so theory moves into short online modules while workshops focus on practical skills.

Completion rates of online modules vary widely: some apprentices finish everything in a weekend, others fall behind for weeks. Weekly check-ins with a tutor and progress reports to employers seem to help. How have you combined online and hands-on learning in vocational training without losing quality?
