Traceability demands from fashion brands

The brands we supply now ask us to document the origin of our yarns and fabrics down to the spinning mill, including certificates for organic cotton and recycled polyester. Our suppliers are small and not used to sharing such data.

We created a simple supplier questionnaire, request transaction certificates with every delivery and record lot numbers through cutting and sewing. It works but takes administrative time. How are other textile producers handling traceability requests without overwhelming their own suppliers?
